PancreVed is used in animals with deficient exocrine pancreatic secretions. PancreVed is a digestive aid in enzyme replacement therapy where digestion of protein, carbohydrate, and fat is inadequate. PancreVed Tablets are an enzymatic concentrate of porcine origin, containing standardized lipase, protease, and amylase. For dogs, the average dose is 2-3 tablets with each meal; cats 1/2-1 tablet with each meal.

How it works:
PancreVed contains pancreatic enzymes which help to digest fat, protein and sugars. It is fed with each meal.
What you should know:
PancreVed enzymes are derived from whole, raw pancreas of pork origin. Tell your veterinarian if your pet has an allergy to pork. In cases of chronic pancreatitis, replacement therapy may be necessary for the duration of the animal’s life.
How to give this medication:
For dogs, give 2-3 tablets with each meal. For cats, give 1/2-1 tablet with each meal. Frequent feeding, at least 3 times a day, is important. Give this medication exactly as directed by your veterinarian. If you do not understand the directions, ask the veterinarian or pharmacist to explain them to you.
If you miss a dose:
If you miss a dose, give it as soon as you remember during the same day. However, if you don’t remember until the next day, skip the dose you missed and take the next one as directed. Do not double dose.
PancreVed should not be used in:
Do not use PancreVed in pets that are allergic to pork.
Possible side effects:
Some patients may exhibit reactions, including allergic reaction (difficulty breathing; swelling of the lips, tongue or face; hives), diarrhea or loose stool. If you observe any of these side effects, contact your veterinarian as soon as possible.
