Synchsure (cloprostenol sodium) 250 mcg/ml is a synthetic prostaglandin analogue used to induce regression of the corpus luteum (luteolysis) in beef and dairy cattle. Using Synchsure in cycling animals usually results in estrus in 2 – 5 days after treatment. This injection can be incorporated into a controlled-breeding program by either single or double injection. Synchsure can also be used to treat endometriosis and certain conditions associated with prolonged luteal function, terminate pregnancies, and manipulate the estrous cycle to better fit certain management practices. Directions:
Administer 2 ml (500 mcg) by intramuscular injection for all indications.
Caution:
Women of childbearing age, asthmatics, and persons with bronchial and other respiratory problems should exercise extreme caution when handling this product.
