Exzolt Cattle-CA1 (fluralaner) is a ready-to-use topical solution for treatment and control of infestations caused by New World screwworm (Cochliomyia hominivorax) larvae (myiasis) and treatment and control of cattle fever tick (Rhipicephalus microplus) in beef cattle 2 months of age and older and replacement dairy heifers less than 20 months of age. Not for use in bulls intended for breeding 1 year of age and older, dairy calves, and veal calves. Cattle must not be slaughtered for human consumption within 98 days of treatment. Applied easily along the dorsal midline, Exzolt Cattle-CA1 offers a convenient, labor-efficient option that integrates seamlessly into comprehensive parasite management programs. It circulates in the bloodstream, and breaks the lifecycle of the parasites, defending cattle against infestations. The recommended rate of administration is 1 ml/44.1 lbs. of body weight, which is equivalent to 1.13 mg of fluralaner for each pound of body weight. Fluralaner topical solution 50 mg/ml.
Backed by Merck Animal Health’s science and conditional FDA approval, Exzolt Cattle-CA1 represents an important advancement in protecting beef cattle from economically significant external parasites—while supporting veterinarians and producers with a modern, long-acting topical solution.
