What is Bronquivet NF Injection?
Bronquivet NF is a sterile injectable solution specifically formulated for veterinary use. It combines the therapeutic properties of a mucolytic, an expectorant, and a long-acting non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID).
Unlike single-ingredient options, Bronquivet NF targets the physiological blockages (thick mucus) and the underlying cellular distress (swelling and pain) simultaneously, providing immediate and prolonged relief.
Key Active Ingredients & Clinical Action
The synergy of Bronquivet NFās active ingredients makes it a staple in professional veterinary care:
Guayacol (Guaiacol): Acts rapidly as an intensive expectorant. It works by increasing the volume of respiratory tract secretions, making them easier to clear and helping to soothe irritated throat and bronchial linings.
CarbocisteĆna (Carbocysteine): A potent mucolytic agent that starts working within 15 minutes of injection. It breaks down the chemical bonds in dense, sticky mucus plugs, thinning the secretions so the animal can cough them up effortlessly.
Piroxicam: A highly effective NSAID that provides up to 48 hours of targeted anti-inflammatory, analgesic (pain-relieving), and antipiretic (fever-reducing) effects. By reducing swelling in the bronchial walls, it opens airways and dramatically improves ventilation.
Primary Clinical Indications
Bronquivet NF is indicated as a highly effective supportive treatment for:
Horses: Equine bronchitis, tracheitis, and chronic or acute lower airway inflammation.
Livestock (Cattle, Sheep, Goats, Pigs): Infectious pneumonias, shipping fever, and pasteurellosis.
Companion Animals (Dogs & Cats): Severe tracheobronchitis and secondary respiratory congestion.
Administration & Recommended Dosage Guide
Important: Bronquivet NF is designed for intramuscular (IM) injection. Ensure all administration protocols are done with aseptic equipment and under strict veterinary guidance.
